- The Advocate will handle legal matters for The Great Rift Valley Retreat and New Agrodeal Kenya Limited.
- The role has a strong focus on land law (title, conveyancing, transfers, and disputes), alongside general contract and compliance work.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and land buyers/investors
- Handle land matters: title verification, conveyancing, subdivision, and transfers
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws on agriculture, exports, labor, land, and corporate governance
- Manage dispute resolution and liaise with regulators and authorities
- Advise management on legal risk across both companies
Qualifications
- Intelligent, creative and committed person.
- LL.B and admission to the Bar in Kenya, in good standing
- Minimum 3 years' experience, with land law expertise required
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Agribusiness, real estate, or export trade experience is an added advantage
- High ethical standards and ability to manage multiple matters independently
