Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with national and county government agencies,regulators and other public institutions.
- Obtain, renew, and maintain business licences,permits, and regulatory approvals,including KRA, NEMA, county permits,work permits, and KEBS requirements.
- Monitor changes in Kenyan laws and regulations and advise management on compliance obligations.
- Review contracts and agreements and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Support project development initiatives,including land acquisition,utilities,investment incentives and local procurement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders,business partners and local communities.
- Prepare management reports,compliance updates and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya will be an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s national and county government systems,regulatory frameworks and public-sector processes.
- An established network of relevant government and regulatory contacts will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication,negotiation,relationship-management and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity, sound judgement and the ability to work independently.
