JOB SUMMARY

  • CITAM Ventures Limited seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a Catering Supervisor whose responsibility will be to oversee all catering activities and ensure that production and service of food and beverage is efficiently carried out.
  • The position reports to the Business Development Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and coordinating all aspects of food production and service.
  • Support marketing of catering services to internal and external clients and develop creative ideas to increase external revenue
  • Ensure value for money across procurement, food sales and function quotations through accurate costing of food ingredients, portions and overall menu offerings.
  • Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in the unit.
  • Facilitate processing of LPOs (local purchase orders) and ensure timely delivery of Supplier invoices and avoid unwarranted payment delays.
  • Prepare income and expenditure reports, maintain kitchen inventory, and maintain a proper record keeping system for easy retrieval and sustenance of the institutional memory.
  • Inform and recommend the required catering equipment to ensure smooth running of catering operations and ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure ordering, receiving, storage and issuing procedures for all catering items are properly carried out.
  • Develop and provide well-balanced, nutritious and appealing menus tailored to the needs of functions and customers, while ensuring timely, efficient and high-quality service delivery..
  • Implement effective communication channels and co-ordination among the staff through periodical meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO and other recognized standards.
  • Implement special projects as may be authorized by supervising authority.

Requirements

  • Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
  • A degree in Hospitality management with 6 years’ experience or Diploma in Food production and service with over 8 years of experience both from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a similar establishment.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including night duty, weekends, or holidays, where applicable.
  • Creatively minded, analytical, good at thinking ‘outside the box’, organized
  • Business savvy and innovative with an eye for new opportunities
  • IT competence with good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
