Job Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual care, pastoral counseling, and religious support to personnel and their families.
- Conduct non denominational worship services, religious rites, ceremonies, and observances for a diverse, multi faith population.
- Provide confidential pastoral counseling, crisis intervention, grief support, and emotional care to individuals experiencing personal or professional challenges.
- Plan and facilitate group worship services, prayer meetings, religious educatin classes, and faith based programs.
- Advise leadership on ethical, moral, spiritual, and resiliency matters affecting personnel and organizational readiness.
- Promote an inclusive environment that respects the religious beliefs, practices, and cultural backgrounds of all personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality while providing compassionate and professional pastoral care.
- Ensure compliance with Navy, Amentum, and contract standards regarding conduct, ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation related to ministry activities.
- Collaborate with medical personnel, behavioral health professionals, and leadership to support the overall wellbeing of personnel.
- Participate in emergency response, crisis management, and deployment support activities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced theological education, ministry training, or formal religious education preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in pastoral ministry, chaplaincy, or spiritual leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to provide confidential counseling and emotional support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
- Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
- A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience supporting military, government, or federal organizations
