Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach diploma courses within the Department of Clinical Medicine and other programmes where relevant.
- Develop teaching materials for blended learning.
- Promote the mission and vision of the Department and the University.
- Participate in the preparation of departmental plans and academic documents.
- Provide professional and practical clinical training to students.
- Attend and participate in seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Participate in departmental meetings and other School activities.
- Set, moderate, administer and mark examinations and assignments, and submit semester grades as stipulated by the University.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the University Administration.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
- A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
- A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and simulation tools in clinical education.
