Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach diploma courses within the Department of Clinical Medicine and other programmes where relevant.
  • Develop teaching materials for blended learning.
  • Promote the mission and vision of the Department and the University.
  • Participate in the preparation of departmental plans and academic documents.
  • Provide professional and practical clinical training to students.
  • Attend and participate in seminars, workshops and conferences.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and other School activities.
  • Set, moderate, administer and mark examinations and assignments, and submit semester grades as stipulated by the University.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the University Administration.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
  • A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and simulation tools in clinical education.
