Job Purpose:
- Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the jobholder will be responsible for planning and implementing activities in the Administration Division.
Key responsibilities
- Developing, reviewing and implementing administration policies and procedure;
- Overseeing office transport services;
- Ensuring that the KNBS motor vehicles and motor cycles are well maintained, serviced and in good working conditions;
- Ensuring administrative services are effectively coordinated and managed within KNBS;
- Controlling and monitoring location and movement of vehicles and equipment;
- Overseeing implementation of maintenance schedule, insurance of vehicles and buildings;
- Identifying risks and hazards and ensuring protection and measures are in place maintenance
- Coordinating provision of office administrative services;
- Identifying unserviceable and obsolete assets for disposal;
- Managing of office space and equipment;
- Ensuring timely payments of all bills for common services;
- Reviewing and approving reports on operations, maintenance and utilization;
- Identifying risks and hazards and ensuring protection and mitigation measures are in place;
- Undertaking any other duties, lawfully assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
- Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in the Grade of Assistant Director,
- Administration or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Political Science, Building Economics, Estate
- Management, Property Management and Valuation, Facilities Management, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from arecognized institution;
- Master’s Degree in, Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences
- Public Administration, Political Science Land Economics, Building
- Economics, Estate Management, Property Management and Valuation,
- Facilities Management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing;
- Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in relevant computer application; and
- Shown merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.
