Job Description
Duties and responsibilities;
- Class teaching
- Role modeling, guidance and counseling, mentoring and motivation of the leaners.
- Preparing reports
- Ensuring the safety and security of the leaners v. Organizing and facilitating play learning activities to enable ECDE children cope with school life
- Caring and nurturing spiritual, social, mental, moral, physical, aesthetic and emotional growth of learners (holistic development)
- Managing the ECDE classes and keeping professional and administrative records (schemes of work, lesson plans, daily program of activities, attendance register etc.
- Preparing and developing play and learning materials
- Organizing community mobilization meetings on ECDE programmes
- Provide guidance to ECDE Children and parents on curriculum matters
Requirements & Qualifications
Requirements for Appointment
- KCSE certificate minimum grade D+
- Certificate in ECDE from KNEC/MOE or other recognized institution.
- A Diploma Certificate will be an added advantage
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission
- Certificate in computer applications and a First Aid Certificate
- Certificate in Kenya Sign language Interpretation for applicants applying to Iten school for the deaf.
