Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have: -
- Craft Certificate in General Agriculture
- One who is reliable and of high integrity.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planting, weeding and harvesting crops.
- Feeding, watering and caring for livestock.
- Cleaning animal sheds pens and farm environment.
- Operating and maintaining basic farm tools and machinery.
- Sorting, grading and packing harvested produce.
- Repairing and maintaining farm structures.
- Monitoring the health of crops and livestock and reporting any issues.
- Keeping the farm clean, organized, and safe.
- Following farm safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
- Assisting with general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned from time to time.
