Reporting to Director, Research and Extension, the Grants Officer will strengthen Egerton University’s capacity for resource mobilization, grants acquisition, and grants management by coordinating pre-award and post-award grant processes, ensuring donor compliance, supporting academic staff in proposal development, and contributing to the achievement of the University Strategic Plan.
Applicants MUST have the following academic/professional qualifications and requirements:
- Master’s degree in Project Management, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in grants management, research administration, or donor-funded project coordination in an international organization
- Demonstrated experience in proposal development and donor reporting in an international organization
- Familiarity with national and international research funders (NRF, EU, USAID, WorldBank, Foundations)
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
