Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transport strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee fleet operations, vehicle utilization, maintenance, and replacement planning.
- Manage transport budgets, operating costs, fuel consumption, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor fleet performance, service delivery, and key operational performance indicators.
- Lead and develop transport teams, drivers, and other operational personnel.
- Coordinate transportation schedules, route planning, and resource allocation.
- Manage relationships with transport service providers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify operational risks and implement measures to improve efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Prepare regular operational reports and provide recommendations to management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in transport, fleet, or logistics management, with significant leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing large or complex fleet operations.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, transport regulations, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management, cost control, operational planning, and performance management.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong proficiency in transport management systems and relevant reporting tools.
