We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our client\'s manufacturing team in Juja. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, and support employee engagement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The responsibilities and qualifications below reflect common requirements for HR Officer roles in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction.
- Maintain employee records and HR information systems.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, leave administration, attendance, overtime, and statutory deductions.
- Handle employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with the Employment Act and other labour regulations.
- Coordinate performance management, probation reviews, and contract renewals.
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff development initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and support management with HR metrics.
- Promote employee engagement, workplace safety, and HR best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- CHRP qualification will be an added advantage.
- Valid IHRM membership is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience handling payroll processes and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
