About the role Burn is looking for a Junior Business Analyst who will support data-driven decision-making by analyzing IT expenditure, tracking cost trends, and developing dashboards to improve reporting and efficiency. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights on cost optimization, asset lifecycle management, and IT performance. Engagement type: 6 Month Contract Collaborates with: IT Operations, Finance, HR, Operations, Procurement Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze IT expenditure data across departments and produce regular cost reports covering software licenses, IoT devices, cloud services, and hardware. Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools to track IT spend trends, leveraging AI-assisted analytics where possible. Conduct hardware asset lifecycle analysis, forecasting laptop and device replacement needs based on age, warranty status, and performance data. Review and summarize Trend Micro security reports, identifying key risk areas and recommending actions for the IT Operations team. Support departmental budget planning by providing data-driven insights on IT cost optimization opportunities. Develop standardized templates and processes for IT cost allocation and chargeback reporting to department heads. Assist with software license compliance audits, tracking usage and identifying underutilized or redundant subscriptions. Leverage AI tools to automate data collection, cleaning, and preliminary analysis tasks to improve reporting efficiency. Prepare executive summaries and presentations on IT spending patterns and cost-saving recommendations for senior leadership. Skills and Experience Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, IT, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or IT operations. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools and willingness to adopt new technologies. Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security concepts.
