About this role
Key responsibilities: - Teach and asses courses in medical physiology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students; Supervise postgraduate students; Initiate, promote and participate in research projects; Attend and participate in seminars, workshops and conference in relevant fields; Participate in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of curricula in the department; Participate in departmental and School Board meetings and other activities; Conduct community service and initiate linkages; Any other official duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Personal attributes: - Proficient in computer skills; Self-motivated and highly disciplined; Possess excellent command of the subject area, including adept lesson planning; Capable of managing ambiguity and emotions; Adaptability to technological changes; Excellent communication, listening, and mediation skills; Strong in fundraising and grants writing abilities; Demonstrates outstanding presentation and research writing skills. Minimum education qualifications and Professional Experience: - A relevant Bachelor,s degree or its equivalent from a recognized University; A Master,s degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized University/College is mandatory; A PhD. in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage; Previous teaching experience is preferred; Must be registered by relevant professional body; Must satisfy requirements of chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution. go to method of application »
