POSITION OVERVIEW
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and strengthening the project's monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning (MERL) systems. The officer will ensure high-quality data collection, management, analysis, reporting, and utilisation to support evidence-based decision-making, adaptive project management, donor reporting, and carbon project performance monitoring.
Key Experience
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded development or conservation projects.
- Experience developing logical frameworks, results frameworks and performance indicators.
- Experience working with large datasets and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Experience in environmental conservation, climate change, natural resource management, pastoral livelihoods or carbon projects is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting donor reporting and project evaluations.
- Experience using digital data collection platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- Professional training in Monitoring & Evaluation will be an added advantage.
