Internship/Volunteer Duration:
- Six (6) Months
Successful interns and volunteers who demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and outstanding performance will receive a Certificate of Internship/Volunteer Service and be given priority consideration for future employment opportunities at Girwa Radio as positions become available.
Key Responsibilities
- Present news bulletins professionally and accurately.
- Research, write, edit, and translate news stories.
- Conduct interviews and gather news content.
- Prepare breaking news updates.
- Observe journalism ethics and editorial standards.
- Participate in field reporting when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Fluency in Dholuo is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Kiswahili and English is an added advantage.
