The Plumbing Intern will assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure uninterrupted water supply, proper sanitation and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with routine plumbing installation, repairs, maintenance and troubleshonting within the facility.
Support general maintenance works, including a wide range of tasks such as minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, furniture, and other facility infrastructure.
Assist with basic electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, drainage and other maintenance tasks within the intern's level of competence and under appropriate supervision.
Conduct routine inspections and promptly report maintenance defects, leaks, faults or safety concerns.
Support preventive maintenance activities to keep the facility, equipment and infrastructure in good working condition.
Assist with maintaining basic records of maintenance activities, materials used and repairs undertaken.
Unblock toilets, sinks, drain lines and other plumbing systems to ensure proper flow and hygiene.
Observe all workplace health, safety, infection prevention and facility procedures.
Any other duties as assigned by the Biomedical Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate in Plumbing or Diploma in Plumbing from a recognized institution.
