Employment Information

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct property and asset inspections and prepare accurate valuation reports.
  • Undertake valuations for sale, mortgage, insurance, foreclosure, bookkeeping and other purposes.
  • Conduct market research, property searches and comparative analysis.
  • Obtain relevant maps, searches and supporting property documentation.
  • Prepare valuation reports for review and implement required revisions.
  • Maintain accurate valuation records, photographs, title documents and supporting files.
  • Review work prepared by assistant and trainee valuers and provide technical guidance.
  • Manage client instructions and maintain professional relationships.
  • Build relationships with banks, law firms, insurance companies and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare tender, prequalification and valuation panel applications.
  • Identify opportunities for new valuation business.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, company policies and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Land Economics, Property Studies or a related field.
  • Graduate or full member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) – Valuation Chapter.
  • Must be a Registered Valuer.
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience as a Registered Valuer.
  • Strong valuation, market research and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and client-management skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
