Job Description
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:
- Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should be at the grade of Driver I, or in a comparable position;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised and accredited institution;
- A valid driving licence free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle (s) an officer is required to drive;
- Public Service Vehicle (PSV) certificate;
- Certificate in Occupational Trade Test Grade I for drivers;
- Defensive driving certificate from Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualifications from a recognised and accredited institution;
- A refresher course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week every three (3) years from a recognised and accredited institution;
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
- Attended a First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognised and accredited institution; and
