Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-risk pregnancies, deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
  • Perform major and minor OBGYN surgeries: C-sections, hysterectomies, myomectomies.
  • Run antenatal, postnatal and gynecology outpatient clinics.
  • Provide leadership in family planning and reproductive health education.
  • Monitor maternal/perinatal mortality and conduct maternal death audits.
  • Supervise and mentor midwives, medical officers and interns.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master of Medicine (MMed) in Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent post-graduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with active clinical practiceinOBGYN.
