Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspection, and maintenance of tractors.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and undertake repairs on tractor engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and electrical components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize tractor breakdowns and downtime.
- Identify defective parts and recommend replacements where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- A Government Grade Test, or Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering qualification.
- Proven experience in tractor maintenance and repair, preferably in the agricultural industry.
- Practical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission systems, and electrical systems.
- Strong fault-diagnosis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet maintenance schedules.
- High levels of integrity, discipline, and commitment to safety.
- Observe safety regulations and company transport policies at all times.
