KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring timely and quality vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for the company fleet
- Supervise mechanics and workshop staff, allocating tasks and monitoring performance
- Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment; manage inventory and procurement needs
- Diagnose recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective measures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports
- Enforce workshop safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Control workshop costs and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and expenses.
- Liaise with the operations team to minimize vehicle downtime and support fleet availability
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Applicants must be 40 years and above
- Proven experience managing a vehicle workshop or fleet maintenance operation
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle systems (engine, transmission, hydraulics, electrical)
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
