Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards.
Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in their condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during procedures and examinations.
Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, admission, and discharge.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.
Observe and implement infection prevention and control measures.
Educate patients and their relatives on treatment, medication, health promotion, and discharge instructions.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of medications and medical supplies.
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing ethics.
Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Ensure the nursing station and patient care areas are clean, safe, and well organised.
Provide compassionate care and maintain a positive patient experience.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Nurse in Charge or management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
Valid registration and practising licence with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an added advantage.
Atleast 5 years of clinical experience will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of nursing procedures, infection prevention, and patient safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
