RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and manage the full farming cycle, including planting, cultivating, weeding, spraying, and harvesting.
- Oversee activities such as pruning, weeding, fertilizer application, and soil PH adjustments.
- Manage sustainable agronomic practices to optimise yields.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, labour, and environmental standards.
- Ensure effective use and maintenance of field equipment
- Identify the right time and methods for pesticide application, crop rotation, and general farm care.
- Supervise and train farm workers to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Maintain records of farm activities and provide regular reports.
- Ensure optimal use of farm resources to achieve maximum yields.
REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Science, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience managing a farm.
- Strong knowledge of crop and/or livestock production, including pest and weed control.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Must be based in Willing to relocate.
