Job Responsibilities Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled services (PPM) and major repairs on long-haul trucks, including engine overhauls, transmission services, and suspension checks Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize OEM software (like XENTRY, Volvo PTT, Scania SDP3) and physical tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and emission systems (SCR/DPF) Specialized System Repair: Diagnose and fix truck-specific components such as air brakes, hydraulic tipping gear, PTO systems, and refrigeration units Compliance & Roadworthiness: Ensure all vehicles meet NTSA standards and regional transit regulations, performing rigorous checks on trucks returning from cross-border routes Operational Support: Maintain accurate digital service records, manage parts sourcing with suppliers, and provide breakdown support or remote guidance to drivers Other Requirements Technical Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Diesel/Automotive Mechanics or any relevant field from a recognized institution Relevant Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks (10+ tonne GVW), specifically focusing on European brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, or Scania Diagnostic Proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of at least two OEM computer diagnostic platforms and the ability to interpret complex technical manuals and wiring diagrams System Expertise: Deep knowledge of Euro-standard diesel engines, air brake configurations, and modern AdBlue/emissions control systems Licensing & Soft Skills: A valid heavy vehicle driving license (Class C or G) combined with strong fault-finding abilities and the capacity to work under pressure
