Quality Officer

Job Purpose

• To ensure that engineering works, fabrication, installations, and maintenance activities meet approved engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of engineering, fabrication, installation, and maintenance works.
• Review and interpret CAD/AutoCAD drawings and verify that completed works conform to approved designs and specifications.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of machinery, fabricated components, and engineering works.
• Identify, document, and follow up on defects and non-conformities.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Inspect engineering materials, components, and spare parts against approved specifications.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and specifications are used during engineering works.
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, contractors, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in quality control, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD software is required.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
